Hey! Check out my shoppable wall with stylist maven Supermarket Sarah. I’ve followed Sarah’s work for maybe a decade now, and it after she championed me for the Jaguar Shoes new talent show in Shoreditch last year, it seemed about time we worked together. Working with Photographer Kristy Noble, and some awesome product from Aria Store, we utilised the bright light and polished concrete floors of my London home to create a minimal backdrop. My textiles did all the talking! Having lived in every compass point in London ( starting off SE, moving to W, South again, then E, NW, and then N1) North London's really my home. I've had 2 babies here, and the fact that we've used products from my local design store and greenery from my neighbourhood florist: Gail Smith- speaks volumes. I'm Brighton born but Islington is very much my home. I love how our home a grade 2 listed Georgian conversion is a marriage of the old and the new. We have all the damp issues you would expect in a 300 year old building, but we also have polished concrete and light. Islington is a borough of juxtapositions, and that contrast resonates in our home, and in my work. I hope you enjoy the shoot, as much as we enjoyed making it. The final image of Sarah and I, gives a hint of the reality of being a working mother of 2 small boys, real life Vs projected image. Anyway I hope it gives you a glimpse into who I am. Wife, mother, Print Designer.
